Launch of book on usa soccer scholarships

There will be a cross-Atlantic link up from Navan Library on Tuesday night of next week when Jonathan Carroll, a Tara native who is a certified strength and conditioning specialist in Boston, launches 'Earn and Keep a Soccer Scholarship to the USA’.
Jonathan attended Colaiste Ide in Dublin to prepare for a soccer scholarship to the USA, and his coaches at Colaiste Ide, Danny Crowley and Jim Conroy, will be in Navan on Tuesday night to launch the book and take part with a video link-up with Jonathan in Boston.
Jonathon went on to play soccer at Thomas University in Georgia and was made team captain in his junior and senior years, becoming an All-American. He graduated with honours and went on to coach high school and collegiate level soccer incorporating year round strength and conditioning techniques with great success.
He moved to Boston in 2011 and went on to work at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning. He currently work at The Training Room in Somerville with athletes, general population clients and the Boston Wolfe Tones Gaelic football team.
Danny Crowley and Jim Conroy are joint managers of the Irish Colleges team, and have vast experience of coaching League of Ireland clubs, as well as coaching in the US, and various Irish colleges. The launch is at 7pm in Navan Library on Tuesday 16th June, and all are welcome, particularly sports clubs representatives or members. Refreshments will be served.
