Garda appeal follows serious assault on woman

Gardaí in Navan have appealed for information relating to a serious assault on a woman in the town last week.

The incident occurred at roughly 5am on the morning of Monday 24th November at The Ramparts car park.

Two males were involved in the assault and both are believed to be of Polish origin. Both are described as being 5'7' in height and in their late 20s or early 30s. One of the suspects had short blond hair while the other had short brown hair.

It is understood that a male passer by, who was walking his dog at the time, witnessed the culprits leaving the scene and spoke to the victim. Gardaí have appealed for this man to contact Navan Garda Station on (046) 903 6100.

Other members of the public who may have been in The Ramparts area or on the Athlumney Road and who may have information relating to the incident have also been urged to come forward.
