First parking summonses issued in Trim

The first parking summonses issued by Trim Town Council came before Trim Court on 12th December.

Paid parking was introduced by Trim Town Council in July 2006 at an hourly rate of 60c, though this charge is expected to rise following the council"s budget meeting in January. The first court summonses to be issued by the council over non-payment of a parking fine came before Trim Court on 12th December last.

Three motorists were fined by Judge Patrick Clyne, one for failing to display a current tax disc and two for parking in a place prohibited.
