Website award for Dunshaughlin student

At the Eircom Junior Spider Awards were Cathal Magee, managing director, Eircom Retail; Grand Prix winner Daniel Flynn, Padraig Browne, principal, Dunshaughlin Community College, and MC Aidan Power of RTE.

Dunshaughlin Community College student Daniel Flynn was recently awarded two prizes in the National Eircom Junior Spider Awards. This is the inaugural year for the junior prizes aimed at primary and post-primary schools and the aim of the awards is to encourage design and development of websites.

Daniel received two awards, one for design and functionality and the Grand Prix prize for best website post-primary. His website is danwantstech.com. There were trophies and cash prizes. The awards ceremony took place just before Christmas in Eircom head office in Dublin and other students and teachers were there to receive their prizes for primary and post-primary schools.
