Meals in Minutes from Donal Skehan

Award-winning food writer and TV presenter Donal Skehan, is fast becoming one of Ireland’s best loved food stars.

Currently based between LA and London, Donal’s new cookery series ‘Meals in Minutes’ will hit Irish screens on Tuesday 6th June and will teach viewers everything they need to know about modern meals, offering a range of tips, tricks and cooking hacks to make good cooking for those with a busy lifestyle achievable.

Based on the wildly popular ‘Tasty’ videos trending on Facebook, Donal will be focusing each episode of the six part series on a variety of themes from ‘One Pot Wonders’ to ‘Meals in Minutes’ that are easily adaptable to modern life which calls for a modern way of cooking.
New to the series is the 5 minute challenge which will be featured in each episode. In a race against time Donal takes it upon himself to conjure up five minute meals that are fresh, flavoursome and result in some really delicious dishes.

To prove no corners have been cut and the self-assigned task is legitimate, only one camera has been used with no cuts alongside a digital stop watch to prove the challenge is achievable. Will Donal manage to pass the task with flying colours, or by the skin of his teeth? Donal will show you with some clever cooking that ultimately saves you time, there is no excuse!

Donal’s YouTube Channel which was launched in 2014 under Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube Network is an internet sensation. His rapidly growing channel inspires and excites through delicious and engaging user content. It currently boasts over 17 million views to date and has a dedicated following of 400K subscribers worldwide. His infamous one pan pasta recipe featured on the series has over 2.5 million views and only uses a handful of ingredients, guaranteed to get you from the kitchen to the table in just fifteen minutes, even if you have never cooked before!

Donal Skehan’s Meals in Minutes will be broadcast on every Tuesday on RTÉ One at 8.30pm for six weeks from 6th June to 11th July.
