The Strypes to headline Le Chéile

In its 19th year, the Le Cheile Arts & Music Festival brings a truly monster Irish line-up to Oldcastle this August Bank holiday weekend.
The picture perfect town will play host to Irish number one album sellers, three of the hottest young bands in the country, camping in the Loughcrew Megalithic Centre, arts and crafts exhibitions, a grand prix cycling event, as well as over 30 Irish bands each making waves in 2016.
The Strypes will headline this year’s festival on Saturday 30th July. One of Ireland’s most trend-setting acts and endorsed by Dave Grohl, Elton John and Noel Gallagher, the Cavan four-piece - Ross Farrelly (lead vocals/harmonica), Josh McClorey (lead guitar/vocals), Pete O’Hanlon (bass guitar/harmonica) and Evan Walsh (drums) - is a huge international act.
The Strypes will be supported by Aine Cahill, lauded far and wide as the next big thing to come out of Ireland, and her seductive tones and heart-felt tunes are sure to get the crowd moving.
On Thursday 28th July, Robert Mizzell takes to the stage with support from recent Glór Tire runner-up, Oldcastle’s Noel Briody.
