Stevie Dee's wedding DJ award

A regular playing weddings in the Headfort Arms Hotel and Trim Castle, for the second year running, Virginia DJ, Stevie Dee, has won the DJ of the year category in weddingsonline awards 2016.

This is a first for this competition that a DJ has won the award twice. The winners were revealed at a glamorous black tie gala ceremony in the Grand Hotel Malahide. The country’s finest wedding businesses and services gathered at this prestigious event to celebrate the winners of Ireland’s most coveted annual wedding awards.

Stevie Dee said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have won this award again. Being a professional wedding DJ for eleven years I have played at over 250 weddings, mostly in Meath and Cavan and enjoyed every one of them, as I love putting on a great show and see people enjoy their wedding party. I want to thank those who took the time to vote for me on for the wedingsonline awards 2016”.

Asked why he thinks he won the award Stevie Dee said “I always meet the couple in advance of their big day to discuss what they want and I make that happen for them. They usually have checked me out on my website first so they know what I can offer but they like to meet me to put their mind at rest. Overall I put on a great show that includes digital sound and a unique light show. I find that more and more couples are opting to use a DJ only for their wedding reception as guests usually cannot help but dance to disco music, where some might be a little reticent about dancing when a band is on.”
