Brother Shabo and Trigger Solstice show cancelled

This show scheduled for Saturday night in Solstice, Navan, has been cancelled.

Saturday 22nd February marks the second appearance of Brother Shabo & the Soul Rebels in the Solstice Arts Centre, Navan. Founded by vocalist/guitarist Wa’el Shabo and lead/slide guitarist Mark Lynch in June 2012, this Navan-based soul show band, composed of 10 talented eclectic musicians, has performed in many venues throughout Meath and Louth.
Influenced by Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Al Green, and Aretha Franklin to name a few,  this diverse band takes you on an incredible journey back to 60/70s Motown with their unique mix of organic soul and hard-hitting gritty funk. Known for their energetic live performances, this band puts its own twist on the standards and introduces audiences to unfamiliar funky gems and a few modern surprises.
A true show band, Brother Shabo the Soul Rebels don’t just perform, they entertain the crowd so if you want to experience a groove-driven, soul-drenched ride through some of the most iconic soul and funk classics of all time then do not miss this show. As Don Cornelius would’ve said ‘And you can bet your last money, it’s gonna be a stone gas, honey!’
Their previous appearance at Solstice, in November 2012, was a huge hit. Support on the night is from well-known singer Trigger & the Ginger Lad, a two-piece from the local band, Trigger & the Hitmen.
