Peadar Tóibín (Sinn Fein)

Married to Deirdre, Sinn Fein TD Peadar Tóibín is the father of four young children. Before entering the Dáil, he was a self-employed management consultant. Since being elected to the Dáil in 2011, he says he has introduced nine times more legislation than every other Meath TD put together.
He also says he has been engaged in over three times more Dáil and committee debates and has asked three times more parliamentary questions than any other Meath TD. He is the only Meath TD who voted against water charges, property taxes, cuts to child benefit and pensions.
He is a founder and cathaoirleach of the Save Navan Hospital Campaign, the Meath Housing Campaign, the Meath Right2Water Campaign and the Meath Schools Campaign, which have brought over 40,000 people onto the streets of Meath in the last six years.
Deputy Tóibín is the Sinn Féin spokesperson on jobs, enterprise and innovation and deputy spokesperson on finance and runs two busy constituency offices. Furthermore, he is author of the most detailed report on the all-Ireland economy produced in the Dáil in 94 years.
