Full line up announced for Slane

The full line-up for Metallica's WorldWired Tour gig at Slane Castle on Saturday 8th June with Stiff Little Fingers, Bokassa and Fangclub added to the bill to join Ghost by the banks of the Boyne.
Formed in 1977 in Belfast, Stiff Little Fingers grew to be one of the great rock acts to emerge from Northern Ireland and even though they took a five year hiatus in the mid-80s they have been touring again since 1987 despite numerous personnel changes.
They started out as a schoolboy band called Highway Star (named after the Deep Purple song), doing rock covers, until they discovered punk. They split up after six years and four albums, although they reformed five years later, in 1987. In 2014 the band released their 10th studio album and a world tour followed its release.
Jake Burns, their lead singer, is the only member to have been with the band during all its incarnations, but in March 2006, original bass guitarist Ali McMordie rejoined them following the departure of The Jam bass player Bruce Foxton after 15 years.
Bokassa, a Norweigan stoner punk act, have been described by Metallica's front man Lars Ulrich as his 'new favourite band' and are sure to have the 80,000 guests in Lord Henry's front garden rocking the joint.
Fangclub are a Dublin alternative rock band who have very definitely been doing things their own way since bursting onto the scene.
Their debut album charted in Ireland at no.5 and received a nomination for Choice Prize Album Of The Year.
On the live circuit, Fangclub have also supported bands such as Pixies, Muse, Biffy Clyro, Twin Atlantic, Nothing But Thieves, The Cribs, Swmrs, Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes while also cutting their own teeth on a string of relentless headline tours and festivals.
This will be Metallica’s first Irish show in a decade and tickets are still avalable from €89.50 including booking fee at Ticketmaster.
As with most of Metallica’s WorldWired shows, every ticket purchased includes a choice of standard physical or standard digital copy of the band’s 10th and current album, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.
All tickets include a free MP3 download of the show(s) attended, mixed and mastered by the team behind Hardwired...To Self-Destruct.
The free full-show downloads can be obtained by scanning or entering the barcode from that show’s ticket stub at LiveMetallica.com/scan.
