Hundreds raised for local charities at Meath Rose selection event
Hundreds of euros have been raised for local charities following a Meath Rose selection event last month.
The Meath Rose of Tralee entrants gathered at the Knightsbrook Hotel Spa & Golf Resort in Trim on Saturday night, 22nd April where Lane Galvin was selected to represent Meath at the iconic festival this coming August.
Lane was selected from a group of fourteen incredible young woman who took part in this year's selection process for Meath.
A raffle was held on the night for three charities chosen by the entrants - Meath Women's Refuge, Meath Autism Network and Meath River Rescue. €840.00 was raised on the night and divided between the three charities.
Frances Haworth from Meath Women's Refuge along with Ed Bridge and Caireann Reilly from Meath Autism Network were presented with a cheque by Lane on behalf of this year’s entrants and the Meath Rose Centre.
