Wilkinstown celebrates Meath win with Katie

As Katie Newe entered the hall of Scoil Naomh Barra, Wilkinstown, clutching the Brendan Martin Cup, she was met with the screams of excitement from over 230 children.

The atmosphere was ecstatic and the joy on every child's face was unforgettable.

Principal James Minnock proudly compèred the occasion, allowing the students to eagerly ask Katie many questions.

Katie shared advice with the children encouraging and inspiring them to follow their dreams. She kindly gave lots of time to everyone and visited the two ASD classrooms with the cup.

The children and staff queued for their photo with the twice All-Ireland winner and as she left Scoil Naomh Barra, there was no doubt that we would see her return in the future with more silverware.
