Opening of the new training facilities at Wilkinstown Target Shooting Club

Target Shooting Ireland in conjunction with Wilkinstown Target Shooting Club opened the new training and range facilities in Wilkinstown last week

The event included formal speeches from the President of Target Shooting Ireland, Liam Crawford and Geoff Cooney on behalf of the Wilkinstown Club. Visitors were then shown around the facility which caters for Olympic type shooting with air pistols and rifles. This new facility can accommodate shooters of all abilities. Many groups and clubs were represented including Paralympic Ireland, Irish Clay Target Shooting Association, Dwarf Sport Association, Lithuanian Sports Association, Defence Forces Shooting Team, Irish Pony Club, Dublin University Rifle Club, East Coast Shooting Club, Rathdrum Rifle and Pistol Club, Target Shooting Ireland and Wilkinstown Target Shooting Club.

This facility opens up the possibility of people of all abilities and ages to explore and become involved in a new sport and activity.
