Upgrade for Aaron Rafferty

Bohermeen cycling club member Aaron Rafferty put in a superb performance at the Castlebar Grand Prix A1-A3 race on Sunday.

The Bohermeen cyclist got away in the last 30km in a 15-man break and then got away with Daire Feeley (currrently ranked top A1 rider) in the last 3km.

In an exciting finish Rafferty was edged into the runner-up position in the sprint to the line.

However, as a result of recent performances he has now been upgraded to A1.

The presentation had a Meath theme as in third place was Navan Road Club cyclist Sean Lenehan while the runner-up was Rafferty. The winner was Daire Feeley (All Human VeloRevolution Cycling Team).
