FEIS CUP

Skryne.........2-13

Seneschalstown.....1-11

Despite this impressive win over Seneschalstown, results from elsewhere meant Skryne's Feis Cup ambitions ended on Wednesday evening.

Skryne opened the scoring with Padraig Finnerty, Conor O’Brien and Mark Battersby on target. O’Brien continued to trouble the Seneschalstown defence and scored a goal and another point before the first water break to help boost his side to a 1-6 to 0-3 interval lead.

The winners began the second-half the same way as the first as Padraig Finnerty pointed a free from the throw-in.

Then the score of the game arrived when Conor O’Brien finished an excellent move involving Frank Carty, Robbie Clarke and Darragh Campion to the net.

The Yellow Furze men improved after the second water break, but Skryne were always in control and finished out the game well.

Danny Quinn opened the scoring for Ballinabrackey and Chris O'Connor added a second point before Sean Kavanagh fired a brilliant goal. St Colmcille's eventually found their feet after their 110km trip and closed the gap to 0-4 to 1-2 at the first water break.
