Orlaith and Oonagh working hand in glove

Meath and Dublin footballers Orlaith Duff and Oonagh Whyte have teamed up off the pitch to launch the first GAA and leisurewear brand specifically for women.

They have established Field Queens which is a high quality GAA and leisurewear brand, designed by female players for female players.

Oonagh represents Clann Mhuire and Dublin LGFA and Orlaith represents Dee Rangers Ladies and Meath LGFA.

"Putting our county rivalries aside, we have worked together to create this brand," stated Orlaith Duff.

"As inter-county players we know the importance of top quality sports gear to help us perform at an elite level.

"Our first product is the ‘Empower’ range Gaelic glove.," she added.

According to the Oonagh Whyte, some of the glove features include:

The first GAA glove specifically designed and tailored to fit the female hand

Designed by players for players

Adult and kids sizes

Available in black, white and pink as well as in club and county colours

Lightweight, breathable glove

Superb grip

Comfortable and natural skin tight fit

Perfect for summer football with Ireland’s unpredictable weather

"We believe Field Queens is the brand to tackle the male-dominated sports gear industry," commented Oonagh Whyte.

The Field Queens website was launched on Saturday.
