Plenty of action on WATCH LOI platform
Watching the football this evening on the WATCH LOI platform certainly provided plenty of action-packed Premier Division League of Ireland football.
Tim Clancy's Drogheda Utd picked up a well-deserved point in a 1-1 draw with Sligo Rovers.
Luke Heeney and James Clarke both featured for Drogheda in what was real end-to-end football for most of the 90 minutes.
Champions Shamrock Rovers are certainly enjoying the bounce of the ball in a way that suggests they will be difficult to stop as they set about defending the title.
A 2-0 win in Ballybofey doesn't really tell the tale as it was more to do with a goalkeeping error that saw the Harps fall behind around 75 minutes.
Then manager Ollie Horgan was shown a red card and sent to the stand and then Dublin side added a second goal.
Up to the concession of the first goal the Harps were well in the game and now face a quick turnaround to take on neighbours Derry City on Monday.
Derry made it two wins in-a-row with a 2-1 victory at Dalymount Park.
Dundalk won again, this time 3-0 away to Waterford - Kevin Sheedy named only two outfield substitutes on his bench while Greg Sloggett featured again for Dundalk.
St Pat's also won by 3-0 against Longford Town and stay top of the table on goal difference from Shamrock Rovers.
All the Premier teams will be in action again on Monday - see fixtures below.
In the First Division - see separate report on Wexford game - Shelbourne and Treaty Utd finished 2-2, but Athlone lost 1-2 to Cabinteely. Dylan Hand and Lee Duffy both played for Athlone. Bray and Cork finished 0-0.
