Financial support for five Meath clubs
Five Meath clubs were successful in grant applications for financial support from the Golf Ireland Club Resilience Fund.
Ashbourne, Black Bush, Co Meath, Laytown & Bettystown and Royal Tara were grant-aided a total €95,450 as part of an overall amount of €2.8m allocated among 145 clubs
Golf Ireland announced the allocation of the Club Resilience Fund on Friday evening for eligible clubs located in the Republic of Ireland.
Delivered by Sport Ireland, the fund aims to provide short-term financial help to golf clubs, support business resilience and future sustainability post COVID-19.
Eligible clubs were invited to apply for funding at the end of 2020.
To be considered for funding, applicants had to meet the criteria and conditions set out in conjunction with Sport Ireland which were designed to assist clubs most in need of financial supports.
Ashbourne - €20,000
Black Bush - €23,500
Co Meath - €12,400
Laytown & Bettystown - €15,950.
Royal Tara - €23,600
