Seasons Greetings to All, Trim Brass Band hit the right note for Christmas

Trim Brass Band have gone viral again - with a wonderful performance of four Christmas carols, which was recorded by members and in their own homes and produced by two of the members.

The recording was uploaded yesterday to Facebook and by 6pm had 5,000 hits all around the world.

"We've called it Seasons Greetings to All and we have done it all ourselves," explains Sean Lynch.

"Since it went up we have had people from Canada, Australia and Scottish Highlands watching it.

"One woman contacted us to say she was sending it to her daughter in Australia."

The video features the Band playing 'Away in a Manger', 'Hark the Herald Angels', 'Once in Royal David's City' and 'We wish you a merry Christmas.'

It features video footage of Trim castle, the church spire and other attractions in Meath.

"It was quite difficult to do," Sean explains. "All our members recorded themselves at home and then Shane Monahan and I downloaded software to produce it into what we uploaded.

"We decided to do it to spread a bit of Christmas cheer."

The Trim Band also went viral last June when they paid tribute to frontline workers

They performed a wonderful arrangement of Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' with singers from Trim Musical Society, against the stunning backdrop of Trim Castle.
