Robbie Colgan adds to tally in Meath-themed finish at Naas

There was a real Meath flavour to the finish of the Congrats To The 2020 Flat Champions Handicap at Naas today with Robbie Colgan adding to his tally for the season when he guided the Matthew Smith-trained Son Of Hypnos to victory.

It was a third win on the track for the Kilmessan trainer with the three-year-old which is owned by his father (Kevin) and had won previously at Tipperary and Galway in September.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained Yafordadoe was second with the Michael Mulvany-trained Ideal pal in third and Gordon Elliott's Road To Dubai in fourth.

“Robbie got a breather into him and kicked on again, he’s tough, stays well and handles that ground well," commented the trainer who will be hoping for a big run from Ronald Pump in the Lismullen Hurdle at Navan tomorrow.
