Ladies lose again
Meath ladies slumped to another defeat in the NFL Div 1 when they were edged out by Donegal at Dunganny today.
Meath were ahead at half-time by 1-7 to 1-4 on the astro-turf but lost by three points (2-8 to 2-11)
A 1-9 haul by Geraldine McLaughlin paved the way for Donegal’s success with Katie O'Brien scoring Meath's two goals and Geraldine Doherty claimed four points.
Meath scored just twice in the second-half and were under severe pressure from Donegal throughout.
Defeat for the Royals means almost certain relegation although there are still two games left against Mayo (Easter Sunday 31st March) and Laois (7th April).
