Meath Hill climb to the top
Leading all the way Meath Hill put in a strong performance to defeat North Meath rivals St Brigid's 0-13 to 0-10 in the A FL Div 4 final at Pairc Tailteann this evening.
There was plenty of support for both sides but it was the boys in royal blue who went home with the Malachy Thompson Cup.
They played the sharper, more incisive football especially in the opening half and at the break they were ahead 0-7 to 0-3.
Mark Tully showed the way for the winners with seven points, six frees, one '45' with the next highest scorer half-back Jason Yorke who powered forward to help himself to two points from play.
Oisin Kiernan and Killian Kiernan both helped themselves to three points apiece for St Brigid's who just couldn't overtake their opponents.
