THE push for glory in Meath & District Premier League continues for Duleek after they picked up another convincing win this time against Slane at the Tollstone on Sunday.
The home side took the lead early on when a move down the left ended with Colin Woods crossing for Brian Murphy to put his side ahead
Chris Jein, Paul Martin and Simon Neery threatened before Duleek grabbed their second on the hour mark through Jein. A further strike from Neery, and a goal from Cummins wrapped up the points. Gareth Byrne and Martin stood out for the winners.

Torro produced two goals to get the better of ring-rusty Navan Cosmos side in this Premier Reserve encounter on Saturday. The visitors took the lead early in the first-half with a goal from Kevin McKeever and they doubled their advantage before the break when Ken Finnegan was in the right place at the right time to find the target.
Sean Conaty, Wayne Murtagh and Emmett Kennedy came closest to scoring for the Cosmos.
Best for Torro in a victory that goes a long way to securing their place in the Premier A Reserve were McKeever, Damien Carolan and Ray Kealy while Maurice Darcy, Emmett Kennedy, Wayne Murtagh and Daryl Ratty stood out for Cosmos.

The football might not have been of the greatest quality this was a very open contest with OMP creating enough chances to claim all three points. Instead the home side went in front just before the break.
OMP battled back and were awarded a penalty midway through the second-half which was converted by Mickey Gregan. The Navan side had plenty of chances but just couldn't find the net. Mark Larkin, Graham Hill and Shane Reilly were outstanding for the Navan side.

This tough Premier C encounter played at Thomastown proved a fitting send off to long time BMC stalwart Ray Fox as he heads off to Australia. Fox showed his usual commitment and skill in this encounter.
The game remained scoreless until the second-half when Kris Paszkowski found space on the edge of the box to fire BMC in front.
BMC looked to be on the way to victory until a defensive error allowed the visitors to steal a late equaliser. Best for BMC Fox, Stephen Reilly, Niall Farrelly and Kevin Muldoon.

Trim Celtic's unbeaten run in the Reserve Cup stretches back to February 2005 and they had plenty to spare over Kells / Blackwater in this tie on Saturday.
Michael Tyndall showed the way for the Trim side with two goals while Alan Douglas and Matt Scanlon were also on the mark. Kells / Blackwater had David Flood sent off in the early stages and they struggled to make an impact.
Their only goal came from Seanie Mahon who latched onto a Matthew Balfe pass. Anthony Craig, Tyndall and Richard Fitzsimons stood out for Trim Celtic while Ronan Flood and Simon Drew were best for Kells/Blackwater.

Despite making a slow start Rossin Rovers went on to win this Kilmessan Shield encounter on Sunday. The visitors raced into a 2-0 lead before Andy O'Brien created a chance for Shane Coyle whose shot was saved. Just before the break a Niall Crinion piledriver was parried and Coyle fired home the rebound.
Early in the second-half Crinion scored again direct from a corner and the same player found the target again from a rebound for what proved to be the winner.
Stewart Bernard and Crinion went close with late efforts but Rossin had already done enough to claim victory. Best for the winners were Crinion, Niall Coyle and Shane Coyle.

Skryne/Tara progressed to the next round of the Kilmessan Shield when they defeated Fordrew in an entertaining encounter on Sunday.
Nicky Hamill opened the scoring following good work from Johnny Jordan. The home side had a chance to equalise when Kevin McAvinchy was fouled in the box but Davy Farnan missed from the spot kick. Sustained attacks from Fordrew in the second-half were rewarded when John Madden volleyed home from the edge of the box from McAvinchy's corner. However Skryne/Tara enjoyed plenty of possession and they struck a late winner when Cyril Carty was in the right place at the right time to score. Best for Fordrew were Madden, Neil McSweeney and McAvinchy while Hamill, Robbie Thorpe and Killian O'Donoghue stood out for the winners.
