Large hotel included in proposed Navan project

FERNLAND Ltd has lodged plans seeking permission for the construction of a five-storey 135-bedroom hotel, three-storey leisure centre, including a 16-lane bowling alley, lazer games and café area, family entertainment centre, bar, 96 apartments, a crèche and car parking at the Mollies, Abbeylands, Navan.

Donaghmore/Ashbourne parish is seeking permission for the demolition of existing parish offices, associated outbuildings, parish house and garage, the restoration of the parochial hall, the construction of a two-storey building along the south boundary of the site for use as retail on ground floor and office on first floor, construction of part two-storey, part three-storey over basement parish centre, construction of a three-storey block containing three two-bedroom apartments and landscaping works at Frederick Street, Ashbourne.

Rockview Developments Ltd are seeking planning permission for a residential and mixed-use development at Navan Road, Duleek, consisting of 63 residential units, two single storey retail units of 92 square metres, an adjoining single storey unit of 560 square metres and a crèche of 257 square metres.

The proposed access to the 3.44ha site is via the Navan Road, Duleek. The application is intended to represent phase one of a two-phase development.

The ESB is seeking permission to divert the Drybridge-Platin 110kv single circuit overhead electricity line. The section of the line to be altered is located in the townlands of Oldbridge, Sheephouse, Donore and Rathmullan. The proposed alteration will comprise of four lattice steel towers of maximum height of 19 metres and three double wood polesets of maximum height 20.7 metres.

These structures will support the line, which consists of three overhead steel reinformed aluminium conductors. Two existing lattice steel towers and five existing double wood polesets will be retired. The location of the proposed development is Paul Murray's lands, Rathmullan and Oldbridge, Co Meath.

Planning permission is being sought by McGarrell Reilly Contractors Ltd for the construction of a petrol filling station development at Gormanstown, Stamullen. The application also includes the retention of an 80-metre access roadway and the continuation of the access roadway for a further 170 metres to service the proposed petrol station.

CA Developments Ltd is seeking permission for 16 dwelling units at Mornington Cross, Mornington. The plans include a neighbourhood centre with two commercial units at ground floor, open plan offices at first floor level and a restaurant and set back penthouse at second floor level.                                                                                                                                             

Homex Ltd is seeking permission for 60 houses at Kells Road, Curleyland and Mill Land, Athboy. The proposed access is from the N51 Road and Gillstown Road. The development will include landscaping and associated site works.

Athlumney Village Housing has lodged plans for the demolition of an existing habitable dwelling and the construction of three four-bedroom dormer dwellings and six four-bedroom semi-detached dwellings and all associated works at Slan Duff, Kentstown.

Ciaran Smyth is seeking permission for the demolition of existing public house and outbuildings and the construction of a mixed-use development consisting of 25 apartments, three retail units and car parking at Clonee House, Main Street, Clonee.

Loughglynn Developments Ltd is seeking permission for 110 houses, a three-storey retirement complex with nine two-bedroom apartments, eight one-bedroom apartments and communal facilities and a two-storey crèche at Castletown, Athboy

Meath County Council's refusal of planning permission to Blakesworth Ltd to build 56 residential units and a crèche at Coldricks Pass, Lagore Road, Dunshaughlin, has been appealed to an Bord Pleanala.

An Bord Pleanala has upheld Meath County Council's granting of planning permission to Matap Developments Ltd for 76 dwellings, a crèche, a local shop with apartment over and a doctor's office at Townsparks, Moynalty Road, Kells.
