Eight medals awarded to Meath at Bord Bia Bloom 2026

There were eight medals awarded to Meath participants as the 20th annual Bord Bia Bloom kicked off this morning.

The county had two winners from the Plant Nurseries category. From Slane, Boyne Garden Centre & Nursery was awarded Gold. Meanwhile, from Gormanstown, Elmgrove Irish Flower Farm won Silver-Gilt.

There were also winners in the Postcard Garden section. From Kells, This is Us Postcard Garden by Special Hands Activity Group was awarded a Certificate of Distinction.

The Living Bog Postcard Garden by Leaving Certificate Applied Class, St Ciaran's Community School, also in Kells, was awarded Commended, with the Ash2020 community garden in Ashbourne from Ash2020 Bicentenary CLG also winning Commended for its Postcard Garden.

This included Trim locals boasting success this morning. Trim Floral Art's Yvette Bloomfield was awarded Silver in Delight The Senses, alongside Annette McDonagh of winning Silver in Rugged Beauty.

From Warrenstown, Beatrice Hartog of Dunboyne Flower Club claimed Bronze in Elevated View.

The event runs from Thursday, May 28, to Monday, June 1. There are a total of 16 Meath exhibitors and vendors that are available for visiting.
