Gardai investigate criminal damage incident after car set ablaze in driveway of house
Gardai are investigating an incident of criminal damage after a car was allegedly set ablaze in the drive way of a Navan house.
No injuries were reported in the incident at Tailtean Drive which saw a car completely engulfed in flames just feet from the house, which also suffered some damage.
A man had seen acting suspiciously near the vehicle.
In a statement Gardaí said "emergency services attended the scene of criminal damage by fire of a motor vehicle and a domestic residence in Navan, Co. Meath on Sunday 15th March 2026 shortly before 0:30am.
"The fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported. The scene was preserved for a technical examination. Investigations are ongoing."
The Gardai, Fire Service and an ambulance attended the scene but nobody was injured.
The incident is being investigated by the detective unit in Navan and the car was brought away for a technical examination
