Apprenticeship expo attracted employers and students to Trim

More than 80 exhibitors gathered at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim on 12th March for the 2026 Apprenticeship Expo, an event organised by County Meath Chamber to connect students, jobseekers and employers with apprenticeship opportunities across Ireland.

Now in its seventh year, the free national event ran from 9.30am to 4pm and was attended by school groups, students, parents and career advisers. The expo aimed to provide a one-stop platform for those interested in apprenticeship pathways, allowing visitors to meet employers with apprenticeship vacancies and learn about training routes available across multiple sectors.

Minister for Justice Helen McEntee said the event had attracted strong participation from employers and education providers.

“There was a full house in Trim this morning for the Apprenticeship Expo 2026. It was fantastic to see so many employers and organisations, both local and national, as well as educational partners, coming together to showcase the wide range of apprenticeship opportunities available,” Minister McEntee said.

“Well done to all of the exhibitors and to the organisers County Meath Chamber, in collaboration with Meath County Council, and supported by LMETB and Intreo, for putting together such a great event.”

Visitors had opportunities to engage directly with employers offering apprenticeship roles, meet current apprentices and take part in live demonstrations. One-to-one career advice and CV clinics were also available, while representatives from SOLAS, Generation Apprenticeship and education and training providers provided information on qualification pathways linked to apprenticeship programmes.
