Greville makes one change for the visit of Derry
Derry make the long journey to Trim this Sunday to take on the Meath hurlers.
In 2025 Meath made two trips to Celtic Park to take on Derry and left with contrasting outcomes. Derry took the spoils in the league meeting last March, while Meath came out on top in the Christy Ring Cup encounter.
This Sunday it is Derry’s turn to make the long journey in the opposite direction as the Royals welcome the ‘Oak Leaf’ county to Trim for an NHL Div 2 contest at 1pm.
Two weeks ago Meath fell just short against a talented Westmeath outfit in Mullingar. It was a brilliant performance for the Royals and Johnny Greville was disappointed to come away from the clash with his native county empty-handed.
One notable Meath player who missed that contest due to injury was Meath’s free-taker Tom Shine. The Kilskyre-Moylagh man returns to the starting 15 this weekend in place of Cathal Barron.
