Yellow ice warning issued across the country
A status yellow warning has been issued for the entire country with low temperatures and icy conditions starting 9pm tomorrow until 10am on Saturday.
Met Éireann said temperatures will fall between -1C and -3C degrees and could fall to as low as -4C, with frost and icy conditions expected.
The forecaster is warning of possible hazardous travel conditions on road and underfoot which may cause travel disruption.
They said temperatures will rise again over the weekendbut wet and windy weather is forecast for next week. Further flooding is expected and rain may turn to sleet and snow due to a drop in temperature.
