TEAM NEWS: Three changes from Greville for NHL opener
Johnny Greville has named his starting 15 for Meath's NHL opener against London
The Meath hurlers get their NHL campaign underway this Saturday as London visit Trim for a 12.30 throw in.
London stunned Meath last year in the opening round of the Christy Ring and scored five goals on their way to a comprehensive victory.
That game will be in the back of Johnny Greville’s sides’ mind as they take the field this weekend. The starting 15 that will line out has been announced by the Westmeath native.
There are three changes to the side that started Meath’s Kehoe Cup decider against Wicklow last weekend.
Gavin King, who had featured in the second-half for both of the Royals' Kehoe Cup encounters, replaces Philly O’Brien between the sticks.
Sean Geraghty comes in in place of Noah Conroy at wing-back while in the forwards Joey Cole starts ahead of Sean Doyle.
Meath (v London) - Gavin King; Conor Leavy, Daire Shine, Jarlath Ennis; Darragh Heffernan, Simon Ennis; Seán Geraghty; Lorcan Byrne, Tom Shine; Damien Healy, Joey Cole, Eoin Donegan; Mark Leavy, Mikey Cole, Darren O'Higgins.
