Navan Women’s 1st XV continued their impressive run of form in Division 1 with a dominant 39–10 victory over Naas at Balreask Old on Sunday, completing a successful home double-header for the club.
Despite difficult weather conditions, Navan produced a composed and clinical performance, running in seven tries. Emily Jo White and Molly Fitzgerald each crossed twice, while further scores from Rosie Searle, Anna Bolger, and Sharon Lynch ensured a comprehensive win.
Bolger also added two conversions.
Navan controlled the game from the outset, displaying strong phase play, accurate handling and superior physicality.
Naas battled gamely and registered a converted try of their own along with a penalty kick, but the home side’s organisation and attacking sharpness proved decisive as Navan maintained their position near the top of the league table.
Attention now turns to a pivotal clash next Sunday at home to New Ross, a key fixture in the push for a top-of-the-table finish.

Navan Women’s 2nd XV produced a strong performance on Sunday at Balreask Old, securing a 25–7 bonus-point victory in challenging weather conditions.
The result capped off a successful home double-header for the club’s women’s programme.
Navan crossed for five unconverted tries, with scores from Geraldine Lynch, Niamh Lister, Louise Coyle, Sinéad Ryan, and Leanne O’Neill, maintaining steady pressure throughout and keeping Naas under sustained defensive strain.
The win keeps Navan firmly in mid-table as the league approaches its midpoint.
Player of the Match for Navan was Geraldine Lynch, who delivered an outstanding all-around display.
Navan now turn their attention to another important home fixture next Sunday when they welcome the second-placed South East Lions (Wexford/Enniscorthy) to Balreask Old.

Navan Under-20s were narrowly edged out by Seapoint on Sunday, despite crossing for three tries to the hosts’ two in a tight contest at Kilbogget Park.
Ultimately, Seapoint’s accuracy from the tee proved decisive as they secured a 24–19 victory.
Navan stayed in the fight throughout, with well-taken tries from Noah Kavanagh, Cormac Kenny, and Ciall Flynn, while Philip Smyth added two conversions to keep the visitors within striking distance. However, Seapoint capitalised on their kicking opportunities, nudging themselves ahead in a match that remained finely balanced to the end.
The result leaves Navan looking to regroup and finish the campaign strongly when they resume action in the new year.
Player of the Match for Navan was Declan O’Connor, who delivered a standout performance.
Navan will return to competitive action on Sunday 7th January, travelling to face Dublin University (Trinity).
