Chalk Talk: Coláiste Ríoga’s Shriek shines on the Solstice stage

There were big laughs and even bigger personalities as Coláiste Ríoga’s Transition Year students brought "Shriek" their hilarious, imaginative twist on Shrek to the Solstice Arts Centre. The show was packed with comedy and a few unexpected characters that had the audience cheering from start to finish.

This wasn’t just a performance; it was a full TY production from the ground up. The students wrote it, produced it, designed it and even fundraised for it, hosting bake sales and events to help get their show into the spotlight. That sense of pride and ownership was written all over their faces on the night.

The audience rose to their feet, the students beamed, and Coláiste Ríoga celebrated another standout moment for the arts in the school. A well-earned triumph for a hardworking TY group who dared to dream big and absolutely delivered.
