'Mission of Hope' in Magheracloone

Two churches in parish to host Fr Benedict Hughes and team

The ‘Magheracloone Mission of Hope’ from Wednesday 12th to Sunday 16th November will be led by Fr Benedict Hughes, who has spent many years working with parish communities, young people, and adults seeking to deepen their faith. Drawing on both spirituality and the wisdom of everyday life, he offers a warm and prayerful presence that invites people to encounter God in the ordinary moments of life.

The Parish Mission in Monaghan offers the opportunity to rediscover how best to live your precious life with purpose under the blessing of God. The mission will include inspiring messages of hope, healing and encouragement underpinned by Sacrament and Scripture. The mission is open to all; to those who attend church regularly, and a special welcome is extended to those who have not been able to attend church recently.

Throughout the mission we will prayerfully explore how best to manage the inevitable challenges of life so that you can live our one precious life with hope, joy, and happiness, as Christ desires for all of us. The mission will include something for everyone such as Daily Mass, a Service of Eucharistic Healing, School Masses, Eucharistic Adoration, Benediction, Youth Liturgies, Confessions during the Service of Reconciliation, the Anointing of the Sick and a Special Liturgy every evening at 7pm. The liturgies will alternate between both parish churches namely St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Drumgossatt, A81 HX68 and St Patrick’s Church, Carrickasedge, A81 KD72.

The mission is scripture based, highlighting the values of the Gospel and the example of Christ. There will be a message of Hope and Healing for Everyone throughout the Parish Mission.
