Navan student reappointed as Maynooth ambassador

A Navan student has once again been chosen to represent St Patrick’s Pontifical University, Maynooth (SPPU), following a competitive, university-wide recruitment process.

Rowan Egan, a former student of St Patrick’s Classical School, Navan, has been reappointed as a Student Ambassador for the academic year.

The Student Ambassador programme plays a key role in welcoming new students to campus life, assisting with orientation activities, providing tours, and offering advice to those making the transition from second-level education to university. Ambassadors also support a range of university events throughout the year, sharing their own experiences of student life at SPPU.

Speaking about his time at the university, Rowan said:

“Choosing to study theology at St Patrick’s has been one of the most worthwhile and beneficial experiences of my life. There is an atmosphere of friendliness and warmth not only among students but also staff, with help only ever being one step away. The on-campus amenities are tremendous and being able to study on both SPPU’s historic South and MU’s brilliant North campus makes for a diverse and fulfilling experience.”

St Patrick’s Pontifical University, located in the heart of Maynooth, offers students a unique blend of tradition and modernity. The close-knit town and campus provide all the amenities students need without the busyness of a large city, while still being within easy reach of Dublin—just 30 minutes away by rail or road.
