Big names in darts to appear in Navan - with funds going to a good cause

Fancy taking on one of the great names in darts?

One Friday 31st October two of the biggest names in the sport will play in an exhibition in the Newgrange Hotel, Navan.

The night will feature 'the Flying Scotsman' himself James Anderson and Ian Diamond White.

Funds raised will go towards Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.

Gary Anderson will play 20 locals and Ian White will play 10 locals. Tickets are on ticketstop.ie

Anderson is a former British Darts Organisation (BDO) and World Darts Federation (WDF) world number one and is a two-time, back-to-back PDC World Champion, having won the title in 2015 and 2016. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.

In 1997, White reached the final of the PDC's revived News of the World Darts Championship. He defeated Des Byrne, Gary Spedding, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins on the way to the final, where he was defeated by Phil Taylor.

He won the Antwerp Open, Denmark Open and the English National Championship in 2009.

At the 2024 Players Championship finals, White produced an upset win over Michael van Gerwen in the first round, winning 6–1. White was due to face Sandro Eric Sosing in the first round of the 2025 World Championship White received a bye to the second round, where he defeated reigning European Champion Ritchie Edhouse 3–1. He lost to Luke Littler 4–1 in the third round.
