Jack and Jim roadshow hits Navan
Presidential Election candidate in town
Fianna Fáil killed two birds with the one stone this morning when a Pre-Budget Business Breakfast doubled as a local presidential election campaign launch for Jim Gavin.
Jack Chambers, Minister for Public Expenditure, who is also the party's director of elections for the Presidential Election, was in town to deliver the keynote speech at the annual FF Meath West Comhairle Dáil Ceanntair business breakfast, hosted by Deputy Aisling Dempsey and the local party organisation.
The minister was accompanied by the candidate for Aras an Uachtarán, who also addressed the gathering, outlining his vision for the presidency and asking for support in the election campaign. Afterwards, Gavin visited the Daoine Óga Childcare Facility and was scheduled to do a walkabout on Trimgate Street, where he is going to drop into local GAA guru, Jacksie Kiernan, for some football banter and a national media doorstep opportunity.
