Meet Velvet, Castletown NS’s Therapy Dog

Castletown NS was the first primary school in Meath to welcome a therapy dog, and Velvet (now fully trained) has become an important part of the school community.

She is at school every day, bringing comfort, calm, and joy to everyone she meets. Whether a student is feeling upset, having a tough day, or simply needs a short break and a walk outside, Velvet is always ready to help.

Her gentle presence reassures students and staff alike, and she has truly made a lasting difference in school life.
