Water disruption to affect 10,000 households in Dunboyne

A planned outage to facilitate essential works on the water network will see 10,000 Uisce Eireann customers in Dunboyne and surrounding areas without water on Monday.

Uisce Éireann is advising that the disruption to supply will be in effect from 1pm to 6pm on Monday, 22nd September affecting approximately 10,000 properties in Dunboyne and surrounding areas, including Dunboyne, Mill Farm, Dunboyne Castle, Summerhill Road, Dunboyne Business Park, Beechdale and Kilcloon.

Uisce Éireann’s Sinéad Kennedy said: “We wish to acknowledge the inconvenience caused by a planned outage and assure affected customers that crews will complete the works as quickly as possible to restore normal water supply on Monday evening."

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Eireann says updates on this work can be found on the Uisce Éireann Supply and Service map by entering the following reference number in the search bar on water.ie: MEA00099101.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
