New coach linked to Royal position
Former Armagh player Aaron Kernan will link up with the Meath footballers as part of Robbie Brennan's management team for 2026.
It is believed that Kernan, who worked with former Crossmaglen Rangers club mate Tony McEntee in Sligo this year, has agreed to link up with the Royals for an initial period of one year as Brennan continues to rebuild his coaching ticket following the departure of Joe McMahon and Martin Corey after the NFL Div 2 campaign.
Brennan is also looking to replace two recently departed Strength & Conditioning coaches David Drake and Phil Campbell who are understood to take taken up posts with Down GAA.
Kernan is expected to be primarily responsibile for reinforcing Meath's defence and brings with him a wealth of experience having won 18 Armagh SFCs and three All-Ireland Club SFCs with Crossmaglen and four Ulster SFC titles with Armagh.
