The Traitors Ireland filmed in Slane Castle to air 31st August
The Traitors Ireland, filmed in Slane Castle at the banks of the Boyne, will officially premiere on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player on 31st August.
The Traitors Ireland is hosted by Siobhán McSweeney and had its exclusive promo and key art revealed ahead of its much anticipated release. The show promises fragile loyalties, betrayal as currency, and suspicion being inevitable.
A group of strangers arrive at Slane Castle with the goal to win €50,000 without getting murdered or banished (in the game). The twist, however, is that traitors are amongst them sowing doubt and deceit.
The Traitors first launched in the Netherlands in 2021 before the format branched off to over 30 different territories, including Ireland, and has been named K7’s format of the year in 2024. Included in this is Studio Lambert’s multi-Emmy-winning US version for NBC Universal’s streaming service Peacock and their BAFTA winning UK version for the BBC.
The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked was also announced just last week, giving a glimpse into the behind the scenes of the show with Kevin McGahern as host. This will dissect each episode and give exclusive access to the banished and murdered players and will be made available on RTÉ television, RTÉ Player and all podcast platforms.
