Truck overturned on N51 between Delvin and Athboy
The N51 Athboy to Delvin road was closed for a time following an accident in which a a truck carrying timber overturned.
The truck overturned on a bad bend after the turn for driving range leaving the vehicle on its side, spilling a large amount of lumbar it was transporting.
The driver of the truck was treated by paramedics at the scene.
A local resident whose son witnessed the incident said the turning is a "notorious blackspot" for accidents.
The road was closed off while attempts are being made to get the truck back standing.
