Navan Men’s Shed bucket collection this week

The Navan Men’s Shed will hold a bucket collection this week in a bid to raise funds for a new premises.

The collection will take place on Thursday and Friday (7th and 8th of December) in Navan. Collection points will be spread out across the town at supermarkets and at Navan Shopping Centre. Funds raised will be added to their building fund to construct a new workshop in Navan and all donations will be appreciated.

The group's current workshop is a 40-foot container at Claremont Stadium with a tarpaulin covering it to keep out leaks. Claremont Stadium has given them a site for a new workshop and they are currently raising funds to provide a workshop on that site.

They point out there is a huge demand for Men's Sheds - it is a great social outlet and is particularly important for mental health especially in these times of turmoil both domestically and abroad.
