Ireland's Largest Ride Out to take place in Kells on Sunday

'Ireland's Largest Rideout 2026' organised by Kells Road Races takes place from Park Ri, Kells, on Sunday, 12th April.

Registration is from 10am with stands up for the ride out at 1pm.

Assistant Chairman and PRO of Kells Road Races, said excitement is building within the club ahead of the event.

"We are counting down the days until we hear the ever impressive mass engine start followed by the incredibly spectacular procession of bikes departing Park Rí as we take to the roads around Kells," he said.

This year, for the first time the club will be releasing a limited edition t-shirt on the day to celebrate the ride out. This will be limited to 150 t-shirts on a first come, first served basis so Dave is encouraging people to get in early with registration starting from 10am and stands up at 1pm.

"It's a great day out - we encourage people to come in, take a look around at all the machines on display and experience the spectacle and atmosphere in person," he said.

The route will stick to local roads around Kells and finish back at Park Rí.

The club wishes to thank title sponsor CC’s Unlimited for also sponsoring the ride out and also to Park Rí for the use of their venue for the event.

"We also rely on the support of An Garda Siochana, Meath County Council, the people of Kells, club members and volunteers and of course the participants," added Dave.

The club is working extremely hard in the background with preparations in full swing for 'CC’s Unlimited Kells Road Races 2026' as road racing returns to Kells for the first time since 2022.

A large number of club members have recently got involved in official training with several of members now qualified marshals and several more as stewards and Dave said it is "fantastic to see such enthusiasm within the club" adding he didn't think they had ever had as many people volunteer for these roles in the one year.

Kells Road Races will take place on the weekend of 20th and 21st June as road racing returns to the Republic of Ireland for the first time since 2022.

The club is currently in the process of creating their race programme and welcome enquiries from local businesses who may wish to place an advertisement within it. Contact kellsraceads@gmail.com for more information.

The club recently attended the MotoXpo show in Punchestown and received very positive and encouraging feedback from that, while the '2 wheels Lotto' fundraiser is continuing steadily each week. The jackpot has not been won for the first time yet but Dave said it will be great to see a winner when that happens.
