Decision to be made on new Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA club pitches

A decision on a planning application for three new pitches at Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA club is to be made on 7th April.

These will be three grass pitches situated to the west of existing GAA club facilities. They will also include pitch drainage, LED floodlighting, high ball stops at the rear of each goalpost, boundary fencing and all site and development works to facilitate construction.

Cllr Helen Meyer said on a Facebook post “The club has experienced steady growth, and these additional pitches would significantly enhance both training and matches—particularly as membership and underage participation continue to rise.

Given Ashbourne's rapid growth, the club's expansion is a welcome development. This type of investment in our community is timely and much needed.”

The planning application was received on 26th July last year and a request for further information was requested in September before being received in March this year.
