Diesel prices back up to €2.13 per litre in Meath

Average petrol station prices at the pump are sitting at around €1.89 per litre for petrol and just under €2.13 for diesel today (1st April). For comparison, average prices in January this year were €1.70 for petrol and €1.69 for diesel.

Home heating oil average prices are currently €869, and have not changed considerably over the past few weeks, according to oilprices.ie. The cheapest prices come from ClickOil.ie and Curran Oil at €814.99 and €835 respectively while the most expensive is €937 from TEXOIL. This has shot up from an average of €496 on 28th February after the Strait of Hormuz was blockaded by Iran.

The cheapest average prices are in Leitrim at €844 while Cavan and Dublin are the most expensive both costing in the range of €880.
