Enter La Bucca's Children's Easter Bonnet competition at Fairyhouse Races

Restaurants' 12th year sponsoring Easter Sunday event

Chef Lucca and La Bucca restaurants are once again calling on all local kids to put their creative energy into making their own Easter Bonnets and bringing them along to Fairyhouse on Easter Sunday.

La Bucca - who have establishments in Ratoath and Dunboyne - have been sponsoring the Easter Bonnet competition since its inception in 2012 and the number of entrants has increased every year with an astounding 40 bonnets entered into last years competition from all around the country.

Ratoath local, Nina Carberry, a previous winning jockey of the Irish Grand National and current MEP will be the judge again this year after presiding over the previous two competitions.

The bonnet competition will be hosted in the Final Fence Marquee with registration between 11am to 2pm. The marquee will also host a huge selection of other free family entertainment including magic and puppet shows, face painters a petting zoo and of course the Easter Bunny.

Every entry wins an easter egg, with the biggest eggs going to the most creative bonnets.
