Evan Coffey’s goal was Navan O’Mahony’s only score in the second-half but it proved decisive as the Brews-Hill side got the better of Oldcastle in the FL Div 2. With the wind at their backs, Navan O’Mahonys put the home side to the sword in the first-half and led at the break by 2-6 to 0-2. The visitors weathered a comeback from the north Meath side in the second-half to take the spoils.

Despite an improved second-half performance, Kilmessan proved to be no match for home side Kildalkey in the Billy Byrne Cup. Kildakey were wind assisted in the first-half and dominated proceedings as they led by 2-21 to 0-2 at the interval. Kilmessan faired better after the restart and registered 1-7 but goals from Luke Rickard and Conor Barnwell left the result beyond doubt.
