Man (27) appears in court charged with alleged burglary and trespass

A 27-year-old man has appeared at the district court in Navan charged in connection with an alleged incident in Dunshaughlin two days ago.

The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with alleged burglary and an arrestable offence, trespass with intent to rape at Lagore Lawns, Dunshaughin.

Detective Garda Shane Dervan gave evidence of having arrested the accused. Judge Eirin McKiernan remanded the accused in custody to Trim District Court next Tuesday. The judge directed that the accused receive urgent medical and psychiatric treatment while in custody.
