83 new homes planned for next Boyne Village phase

A PLANNING application to provide 83 new homes as part of the next phase of the Boyne Village residential development at Farganstown, Navan, has been lodged with Meath County Council.

Albert Developments Ltd is seeking permission for the development on a site of 6.14 hectares within the townlands of Farganstown, Ballymacon and Athlumney.

The proposed development will consist of the construction of 83 residential units comprising 22 two and three bed houses.

It also includes the provision of 0.2 hectares of public open space including a pocket park and outdoor play provision, hard and soft landscaping along with the provision of four hectares of open public space for the provision of an all-purpose sports pitch, a kickabout area, informal play area, meadow walk and native woodland areas.

The plans provide for 166 surface resident car parking spaces, internal road and shared surface networks and all associated site works.

A Natura Impact Statement is submitted with the application.

A masterplan for the overall development of the site provides for a total of 1,000 residential units, neighbourhood centre, community facilties and a 37 acres business park.

Planning has so far been granted for 420 units. The first phase will provide 98 units with approximately 40 of these units now completed, many of which are occupied.

The remaining 58 units in this phase are expected to be completed and occupied by the second quarter of this year, while construction is due to commence on the next phase of 122 units in the second quarter of this year.
