Picture This.... Talented Enfield CC student gets to perform with top Irish band in front of 13,000 fans
Sarah Lynam, a third-year student at Enfield Community College, delivered a standout performance at Dublin’s 3Arena, supporting Irish band Picture This in front of a sold-out crowd of 13,000 people.
Sarah performed a cover of Something in the Orange by American singer-songwriter Zach Bryan, showcasing her vocal talent on one of the country’s largest stages.
The opportunity to sing at the 3Arena was part of a special initiative by Picture This, who have been inviting fans to perform as solo artists, duos, or trios during their shows.
Originally from Athy, County Kildare, Picture This was formed by childhood friends Ryan Hennessy and Jimmy Rainsford. The band gained prominence in 2015 after uploading their track Take My Hand to social media, where it went viral. Following their initial success, they expanded to a four-piece with the addition of Owen Cardiff and Cliff Deane.
Now one of Ireland’s most popular acts, Picture This are continuing their fan-focused performance initiative at upcoming shows, including concerts at the SSE Arena in Belfast.
Fans are invited to sign up in advance, choose a karaoke track, and perform live in front of thousands.
Her rendition of Something in the Orange was met with a warm reception from the crowd, with staff and students at Enfield Community College praising her performance. “
What a wonderful achievement from such a talented girl,” teacher Rebecca Kennealy said.
What an extraordinary opportunity for a young person to step onto the stage and perform in front of a packed arena of 13,000 people.
